installation problem

I downloaded a ydl5 version and downloaded as par guide but has a problem in kboot section
kboot comes den some error comes and it says
"/dev/sr0:/ppc/ppc64/vmlinux-ps3 not found"

den kboot menu comes and ps3 restarts

i dont have a hdtv do i have to write installtext at kboot

but the screens vanishes quickly should i have to do this before that

Why are you using YDL 5?

The recommended build for the PS3 is YDL 6.2.
http://ydl.oregonstate.edu/iso/

has current ISO images.

If you must use YDL 5, be aware that not all versions work on the PS3. Make sure you're using this ISO:

http://ydl.oregonstate.edu/iso/yellowdo ... 11-PS3.iso

We've had the best luck with that one.
