Screen goes blank after entering install_ps3_720p!

i get to the kboot and hit install_ps3_720p. then the screen goes blank, nothing happens, what is going on?


*ive tried 1080i as well and the same thing happpens, im connected through hdmi if it makes a difference

Have you tried the text mode (480i) install? If that works OK we can guide you through testing video modes until, hopefully, you find one that works.

Also, what is the brand / model # of the display?

Its a samsung HPT5064X
