You need to check the sha1sum on the .iso file you downloaded. Instructions for doing so are in the README post of the PS3 subforum, or you can find them on the server from which you downloaded the file. This is to confirm the file is 100% correct.

Also, if possible, try burning the DVD with a program such as imgburn (http://www.imgburn.com) that has a "verify after writing" option. This is to confirm there are no errors when the image is transferred to the DVD.

What speed did you burn the disc at? If possible, try a 1x speed.

Also - where did you download the ISO? We've had some issues with ISOs downloaded from Softpedia, for example.

First time I burnt the iso was at the default speed, and the second time i burnt at 4X. Also the first time i download it i belive it might have been from softpedia, but the second time it was from a different site. I will try burning at 1x first but if fails where would be a known site with a good iso?

I've had the best luck with this site:

Just wanted to let you know that burning the file at 1x speed fixed the install problem. I appreciate all the help! Finally get to play with YDL 6.2!
