loaded yld 6.2 with no USB keyboard stuck on kboot - HELP!

Postby Faital187 » 04 Dec 2009, 20:47

So I downloaded yellowdog 6.2 and put it on a DVD. I
partitioned the drive to Allow 10 gb for yld 6.2. Started
install without reading any faqz or install notes and now am
stuck on kboot. I don't have a USB keyboard and need help to
get my ps3 back to normal. Unless someone can help me work
around this problem.

any help is appreciated

1. Power off your PS3 normally.
2. Turn off the rear power switch.
3. Turn on the rear power switch.
4. Hold the front soft power switch.
5. You will hear a beep - keep holding it down.
6. After approx. 5-7 seconds, you will hear another beep. Let go of the soft power switch.

You can force a parameter RAM reset that will set the PS3 back to GameOS.

The procedure is:
1. Turn your PS3 off from the front power switch
2. Flip the back power switch off
3. Flip the back power switch on
4. Hold the front power switch down
5. It will beep once - keep holding it down.
6. Five seconds later it will beep again - release the front power switch

This will reset your PS3 to GameOS, standard video (non-HDMI) output. The rest of your PS3 settings should be maintained.

Cheers,
Paul
