Three little(ish) questions

Postby littlehobo » 04 Nov 2004, 14:02

Just installed YDL on IMac and love the feel and look of it. Couple of sticking points tho:

1. When I installed, it detected sound card and played test sound. However, now has no sound apart from occasionsal hissing!

2. Mozilla does not open up at all. Tried downloading newer version, but realised (not gonna believe this) I don't know how to install software on Linux after extracting!!!

3. IMac shuts down OK, but when I try to just log off the system hangs... Is it worth trying to get an update?

Sorry about the bone questions!!!

you should always install at least gcc when you install ydl (the more compiler packages you install at that point the better) since you'll need at least gcc to compile and install applications, you'll also need the kernel source to compile and install some drivers such as the wlan wifi drivers - good luck!
