Need Help on installing xe multi -system emulator

Im really new to linux and all this terminal stuff is really confusing to me. Anyway I was told to download the emulator from here: http://tinyurl.com/easyxeinstall

When the download pop up comes up I click open with Software Installer (default) but then when the installing packages menu comes up I get an error message saying "Unable to retieve software information" "This could be casused by not having a network connection avaible" Even though I DO have a internet connection working.

So instead I just save the emulator to my computer and I was told I need to install it with Billb's RPM or something(me been a fool I haven't a clue what that is and how I install it with that)

Also, do I need to any BIOS for this emulator IF I get it working
