European Ps3 model 80gb [beginner inside]

Voila this is my first question

i have an european model of ps3 cool ^^ but the number beside is listed has CECHL04 upgraded to version 2.60

ive read some post and in dont know if YDL 6.1 run on my system

for the moment just formated 10 giga partition whit the ps3 format tool
and burned the 6.1 to dvd ( under windows yeah ^^ i know i'm a bad guy ^^ )

can someone tell me if i continue ? or not ^^

i'm tired i go to sleep cya tomorow ( here it's 03h30 morning ... )

I believe it's OK on firmware 2.60 with the CECHL0x.
