not playing through stero

Hey Everone, quick question. My PS3 is set up to play through my Stereo Receiver through the digital out on my PS3 and I have the HDMI cable going to my TV. Whenever I run yellow dog I only get sound through my TV and not my stereo. Is there a way to tell Yellowdog to use the digital out on the PS3 going to the reciever??

When you go to System -> Administration -> Soundcard Detection, do you have multiple options under "Device Settings" on the General tab? I have one PS3 that just shows SPDIF and is using the optical audio out only. I forget what the other one shows (which is connected via HDMI to the TV only).

On the PS3 that's connected via HDMI to the TV, I'm using the headphone jack on the TV to get the audio output to my stereo ... kind of a workaround but it gets the job done.
