It's pretty simple I don't have vnc installed on my version of Linux I have the viewer but not the server so where can I get it?

Step 1 is all you need to do - you can ignore the rest. This is for YDL 5.

P.S. Found this using our site Search feature above with "vnc server".

Which desktop environment are you using? This is probably for Gnome....

Before you log into YDL, at the bottom of the login screen is a "button" called Session. Click that, and select Gnome.

Otherwise, you'll have to start the GUI interface manually from a terminal window with the command vino-preferences . If that doesn't work, we'll have to figure out the vnc server package to install via YUM.
