yes but all the instructions always point to having to resetup the controller in PS3 XMB afterwards?

thanks although i have searched the forums and there are over 600 posts - is there an easy link to the HOWTO's?

Nevermind - found one and it appears PSP 2.7 fixes the pairing issue.

Yeah - that's the one thing that kind of sucks about our forum. I tried searching USB, PC & controller for you - and our search rejected USB and PC as having too many hits. But - using those as a filter for controller would have brought up the post you need.

Our old board didn't do that - and we've tried turning this "feature" off on this new board - but it ignores us.

Sometimes Google will find the relevant posts on our board:

This lack of search functionality adds additional work for us, since we spend a lot of time repeating stuff over and over because folks just can't find the posts.

right i got the PS3 controller working - tested ok in the terminal.

but when i try to config it in MAME and Stella it doesn't do anything? is there something I am missing.

I have set SixAxis 1 in MAME setup file as well. (As well as Joystick 1)

We kind of discourage this. Not because we like to limit free speech - but because it allows us to share this answer with the others who read the forums.

Also - any answer you post here is indexed and can (hopefully) be found by Search in the future.
