Perfect!! i have it up and running with no problem, except for the one problem that seems to grace everyone:

Soundcard issue. Now in KDE and GNOME i have found ways to silence the screeching, but in Xfce, the volume controls do not affect it...and since I am using an imac with a silly built-in harmon Kardon odyssey system, simply unplugging the 3rd speakers does nothing. I still have noise from the built-in speakers.

I have tried everything, plugging in headphones, messing with all of the sound controls...anyone have any idea??? I cannot even stand to sit and customize my session with the screeching
Standard g3 500 indigo imac
