bash: lspci: command not found

If you are new to YDL and have some more or less basic questions.

bash: lspci: command not found

Postby hammergil » 14 Oct 2009, 08:51

I have ibook g4 and trying to get wireless set up. trying to follow the guide provided on ydl.net and ran into this problem:

[root@localhost network-scripts]# lspci | grep -i broadcom
bash: lspci: command not found

searching for others with this problem turned up no help since most were just trying without being logged in as root. any help would be appreciated

Did you become root using su by itself? Make sure you include the hyphen afterward, like this:

Code: Select all
su -

su by itself doesn't give you root's command paths.
