If you are new to YDL and have some more or less basic questions.

Can't Get back to XMB?

I use something called EasyPS3Linux, and it seemed to work at first but after i clicked boot other OS, it loaded that thing it does but then i press X on the USB thing to install it and it freezes, also I can't get back into the XMB at all, I tried using the factory reset and it didn't work, can anyone help me?
Wish i didn't try this bullshit in the first place...

I'm not sure what EasyPS3Linux is, so I can't help with that.

I can help you get back to the XMB, though.

First thing - make sure you don't have any "USB Things" in your PS3. If that's some sort of USB thumb drive, it may be interfering with the boot sequence.

Next, turn on your PS3. If you can get to the kboot: prompt, you should be able to get back to the XMB by typing "game" (without the quotes) and then typing the Enter key.

If that doesn't work, you will have to try the power off-reset again. It should work like this:
1. Power off your PS3 normally.
2. Turn off the rear power switch.
3. Turn on the rear power switch.
4. Hold the front soft power switch.
5. You will hear a beep - keep holding it down.
6. After approx. 5-7 seconds, you will hear another beep. Let go of the soft power switch.

That ought to do it.
