HD-booted install - which files to copy (tute doesn`t work)

I tried to follow that tutorial, as my Mac reads only factory-made DVDs and not "burned" ones. However, the tute seems totally outdated and (at least after unarchiving the image under Linux) I see no Install directory. Tried to follow an analogous Fedora tute, but it is too distant from YDL DVD structure and I did not find some necessary files.

Do you have any idea what I should copy and where (I put the files in the main directory) in the current situation? G4 400MHz, currently running YDL 5 (as yaboot can`t boot from any of partition formats available for MacOsX!)
