Yes - you can. It's trickier though.
You'll have to perform a "text" install. No GUI support - for the installer. The text installer is pretty straightforward - it basically follows the same steps as the graphical installer, which we call Anaconda.

http://www.ydl.net/support/installation ... _guide.pdfOnce the installer is done, you then have to manually create a normal user account, hook up the graphics to load at boot, and you're good to go.
To create a normal user account - from the root account text mode prompt - which is where you should be after installation and reboot (login as
root for the user):
useradd whatever_name_you_want_to_log_in_with
passwd whatever_name_you_want_to_log_in_withReplace
whatever_name_you_want_to_log_in_with with - well - the name you want to use. e.g. ppietro, billb, etc.
useradd creates the User, passwd sets the Password.
