Hi!

I'm very frustrated:

1. Seems like I don't remember my password (tried tens of combinations)
2. Because of that, I would like to re-install an operating system, but I can't eject the damn cd from my iMac

Question:

Is there any way of ejecting the cd instantly when the computer boots? I cant load the desktop because of the lost password..

Yes, there is in fact a way to eject the CD when you turn on your computer. Try holding down the 'C' key on your keyboard when booting your computer. Please reply back and let me know if this helped!

BTW - you may want to check the dates on these questions before you reply. The original post was Sept 2013 - chances are he/she ejected their disc since then.

Not trying to dissuade you from posting - just making sure you get the most "bang for your buck" as it were.
