I am trying to run Apache on YellowDog Linux 3.0.1. I start it up and it says "OK" but when I do a
> ps -e | grep httpd
it is not running!
I've tried:
> /etc/init.d/httpd restart
and it says it started "OK" but then it does not show up in the
> ps -e | grep httpd
command.
I get a "connection refused" when I try connecting to localhost or 10.0.1.3 or 127.0.0.1 on the same computer I am running apache on.
I have also tried turning off my firewall and that doesn't help, either.
The file /etc/httpd/logs/error_log is empty.
The file /etc/httpd/logs/ssl_error_log contains several lines of the following:
[Mon Sep 06 13:11:32 2004] [warn] RSA server certificate is a CA certificate (BasicConstraints: CA == TRUE !?)
[Mon Sep 06 13:11:32 2004] [warn] RSA server certificate CommmonName (CN) 'localhost.localdomain' does NOT match server name!?
I'm assuming this is a problem with my httpd.conf file. I've tried setting my ServerName to my private IP address behind my router (10.0.1.3) and I've also tried setting it to localhost. Any suggestions on what to try next?
