Putting iMac Monitor to Sleep

Postby tahnis » 08 Sep 2004, 22:55

Does anyone know if there is a way to enable some sort of "power saving" scheme in KDE/Gnome? I've got YDL running on an old 333 iMac, and would like to be able to leave it up and running, but have the monitor power off after, say 30 minutes of non-use.

I've not found anything in the system control panels, but perhaps I've not looked hard enough.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks much.

In kde; bring up the control panel (it should be on your "start" menu) go to power control and then to Display Power Control. This gives you the energy star settings list which is the monitor control
