apache in loopback mode on YDL3

does any body knows where I can find a convenient howto to configure Apache so it works in loopback ? I want to test my PHP pages without putting them on a web server...

I already did it with webten on macos9, and i want to do the same on linux...

So if anybody knows a good tutorial...
