Ipod problem

hey there, loving YDL, so far its been really good to me

however, this morning, when i booted up YDL, i noticed that suddenly all of my 40gig ipods space had been taken up. YDL displays it as having only 500 megs or so left free.

i disconnected it from ydl, plugged it into my windows box, and voila, i've got about 26 gigs free.

what could be causing the read error in YDL? can this be remedied ? its very annoying!
