Wireless internet problems

I just recently installed ydl on my ibook G4. I was able to eventually get my airport extreme card sort of working. I can connect to a network but I can not connect to the internet through that network. I can check which network I am connected to, but I my browser can't connect to a web page, although I know the internet is connected to the network, and I can not ping any websites.
