no java in opera and no firefox 2?

No matter what i do i cant get java working in opera and i cant get firefox 2 why is this??

I actually got it working. The trick is, you don't use plugins. You have to enable Java in Opera, and point Opera to a couple of libraries in the installation.

It didn't work at first - but after I "messed around" with some settings, and rebooted, it works perfectly. *crosses fingers*

I'll try to uninstall Opera tonight, and re-install it, documenting what I've done to get it to work.

The only trick is that you use /opt/java/IBM...../jre/bin instead of ../lib. If you locate the files in the guide, you can find the correct directory.

I'll also post a guide to this in the PS3 section of the forum.
