lets see now i have to use gedit ok did that now do i pick file and select livna-stable.repo? becuse when i select it it looks right to me. have a look am i doing this right?

This file looks right - however, if I understand you correctly, this is what you already have on your system? Because whatever your repos are using is not this.

We will need to see the output of this command from a terminal window:
more /etc/yum.repos.d/*

Don't forget - you'll have to hit the space bar multiple times to print out *all* of your files.

billb - in addition to the livna errors I mention above, suddar shouldn't mix ps3bodega & livna right? IIRC, it should be ps3bodega + yellowdog-base, yellowdog-update, & yellowdog-extras or fedora-extras/dribble/livna + yellowdog base & yellowdog-update + yum-protectbase.

Yes!!!! it worked. well i have not done all of it yet but the first thing i did was changed the ps3bodega.repo and set enabled=1 to enabled=0 and everything worked without deleteing anything but i will do the rest or dose it matter now that it all works?? anyway i just have to say thanks a million and as for your reward as promised i give you

No - you must still remove the incorrect livna repositories, if you haven't done so already.

Remember - you should be able to use the command:
