Mine didn't even have the configuration file. Did you manage to connect to your WEP network.

I'm getting this same error when I try to launch wicd on YD6.2. I really don't want to install linux, and it was working fine all this time, until now. Isn't there a way to fix it?

Look for the "If Wicd Network Manager dies after reboot ..." issue.
