Assuming you're trying to install on a PS3... that's what it will look like if you're trying to install on an SDTV.

If you have an HDTV, you will get the graphical installer.

Umm 1 more thing when I type in ps3-boot-game-os is gives me an error message.. Saying cant change boot flagI broke the ps3 didn't I

420i? There isn't a setting like that.

There's 480i - which is SDTV and would start a text install. You'd need to use 720p or 1080i to get the graphical.

No - you didn't break it. Where are you trying to type in ps3-boot-game-os? At the kboot: prompt? In a terminal window?

If you're trying in a terminal window, you may have to be root user for that.

You'll want to use "game" without the quotes to get back to the PS3 from the kboot: prompt.
