Improvments you would like to see for Ps3

What do you think sony needs to do improve on the ps3. I would like to be able to customize the partition . Only having 10 Gb on the linux side is kind of useless if ur doing more than game emulation. and 10 Gb on the playstation side doesn,t leave you with a whole lot of space for game data utilities .

That's a restriction thats not actually YDL based. It's the sony firmware that limits the partitioning options, and yeah it's a big problem. I held my nose and gave the 10GB to GameOS, since I knew that 10GB would not be enough for how I use Linux.

yea I knew that was sonys firmware not YDL. It still sucks though espicially cuz allot of game memory isnt transferable so an external drive doesn't help much. Im still trying to figure out why anyone would gut the hard drive and replace it with a 1TB drive via the ugly duck method, when you cant get past the sony's parition .

if sony fixes that it will kind of suck having to save everything external and starting from the beginning but it would be worth it for a customizable partition. i would probibly go with 80GB or so an the XMB and the rest allotted to linux

being able to create a launcher to linux from the main XMB menu would also be a cool feature . I really dont like how they put that next to the restore PS3 option.
