2 Annoying Problems

1 - So yeah, when I was using Component Cables w/ my PS3 on YDL 6.1, I had sound coming from SNES9X-GTK no problem, on any output rate (48k, 32k, etc). Once I switched to HDMI, my sound from the emulator disappeared. I tried every output rate and no sound will come out at all. Is there any fix for it? (The cable is fine because I get sound and picture from playing PS3/PS1 games no problem with.)


Other problem is:

2 - I can't use Pidgin to connect to Yahoo. It use to work flawlessly but now it just doesn't want to connect. It tells me it "Lost Connection with Server" and to try again or whatever. MSN logs in fine but Yahoo just won't connect anymore. Is there any way to have it connect again?


Any help is appreciated.


EDIT - Sound is now working mysteriously in SNES but the Pidgin problem still exists.

That's a known issue with the version of Pidgin in YDL. Apparently, only a newer version of Pidgin will work. See here:

billb has built the latest pidgin 2.5.8 and put it in his repo http://forums.ps3bodega.com/ for easy install

Ah yeah I forgot to say I found it in the Add/Remove programs.


All is fine and dandy now.
