how can I install Cell-BE SDK

Hello,

I want to use the actual Cell Broadband Engine SDK.

In the anouncements, it says that SDK 3.0.1 is
part of the ydl-6.1 distribution.

The sample sources should lay at /opt/cell/sdk

I didn't find anything like a cell sdk
on the installation or the rest of the repositpories

Where/how can I get the Cell-SDK AND the excample and tutorial codes.

Yours,
Willy

YDL comes with only the open source portion of the Cell SDK installed. To get the portion you mentioned - sample sources, compilers, etc. - you need to download the rest of the Cell SDK directly from IBM.

This is the main IBM Cell developer page, I think:
http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/power/cell/

Hello
you're right there doesn't seem to be an all encompassing cell be sdk package as such in the repos or the ydl dvd, I think what you get is lots of ppu and spu packages, there's been a couple of threads on this forum about it viewtopic.php?f=19&t=4441&start=0&hilit=cell+be+sdk and viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3360&start=0 and possibly others, it would appear you will have to download the ibm cell be sdk http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/power ... icles.html for a more complete sdk.
nice video link here also viewtopic.php?f=19&t=6810#p34453
