I tried to download an rpm but i got this error message

tmp/portaudio-19-5.ppc.rpm could not be opened, because the associated helper application does not exist. Change the association in your preferences.

Generally it's best to use yum or Add/Remove Software to install RPM packages instead of downloading/installing them directly. But, to get around the problem you're having here, save the rpm to your desktop then double-click it to open/install it.
