How do I make my ps3 "talk"?

I saw this video on youtube and this kid has a macbook (I found out that macs have terminals) and in the terminal he made his mac talk to him with a "say" command.. I was wondering if there was some command in Linux that could do the same thing, because when I tried typing something in the terminal with the say command it didn't work the way it did in the video.. Oh and I know that a mac is different than the ps3, but they both use a Unix terminal; or maybe they have different commands and some commands don't work for both the ps3 and macbook...

Any Ideas??

Festival! Install it from the repos, set up your festivalrc to look like this:

(Parameter.set 'Audio_Command "aplay -q -c 1 -t raw -f s16 -r $SR $FILE")
(Parameter.set 'Audio_Method 'Audio_Command)


Then you can have it say anything you want.
