Future release?

Postby johnny » 19 Jun 2012, 10:40

Hi folks!

I'd like to know if there is still any development of YDL?

YDL for PowerPC is definitely no longer developed. I'm not sure about the status of YDL for CUDA (http://www.ydl.net/ydl_cuda/) but I believe it's still actively developed. I'm just a volunteer and not an employee of Fixstars, so you may want to contact them directly (https://www.fixstars.com/en/contact/).

That's exciting news about YDL 7. Unfortunately - it's sort of a "good news/bad news" situation.

The good news: it looks like it's based off of CentOS/RHEL 6.

The bad news: It only runs on one platform.

Although I'm all for getting new hardware, the $14,990 price tag might upset my spouse:
