ok.. i downloaded YellowDogLinux and burnt cd1 on a cd rw
I put it into my PowerBook 1400/166 and nothing happened..
should an icon appear for the install or what.. This powerbook doesn't boot from cd well ive heard about BootX but i havn't been able to get it installed yet.. ive been having problems with it..

please help.

That particular powerbook wont work with YDL at all (according to ydl's hardware support page) YDL support/hardware-unsupported

by chance gentoo or debian will work.

but this will give you a hard time.
try to findsomeon who has a installation guide.
makes things easier

ok thanx i think in order for those two to work i need to install BootX.. and since my PowerBook can't acess the internet i can't download it and ive already burnt it on a cd from my pc but it won't read the cd..
do u think it wont read my cds because they are cd-rw?
