probably not if your new to linux; it requres you to compile a custom kernel (the latest stable) and driver then fiddle w/ some config files (well that and its unstable) better to wait for TSS to come up w/ a viable solution
there is really no "native" (no compiling) wifi device outside of pcmcia devices (sorry just clicked that you have a pbook) umm...any orinoco/wavelan chipset based card should work (try to get an older 802.11B dev instead of a G)
