The above is a link to my Powerbook I have the 1.5ghz with the 128mb of vram and I am unable to even use 3D screensavers. Does anyone know if it is possible to use acceleration at this time? If not will it be planned for the future with the release of opensourced drivers by AMD?

No news huh. I am really looking forward to the day that I can use X accelerated on my Powerbook.

I have to reply to this just to give TekMate a big hand for being so persistent on this thread (going on 6 months now)
Hope to see more contribution to this particular architecture section in the future.

I keep checking in but unfortunately nothing ever works. I wish I knew enough to work on the driver myself but I can only do a little scripting. Oh well I will check back again I really want to remove OS X but standard non accelerated Xwindows is just awful for day to day use.

So has anyone tried 6.2 yet? If yes do you have 3D support?
