G4 Powerbook 800mhz titanium sound worked the first time I booted the machine and has not worked since. I have tried redetecting and I saw a post to modprobe a module I forget it was like pmac_sound or something neither worked.

suggest making sure that you have gotten all of the updates as there have been a few that have updated sounds items. Also if you've updated the kernel which one ur booting
