Yellow Dog Linux

Has anyone found a way to setup the internal modem? I think it's some form of software modem on USB. sys profiler says microdash, but no web site seems to have any info.

also i have never been able to log onto KDE as root, it always crashes then screen goes blank and hangs up (after spewing some errors re eth0 I think, but I can't be sure cause it blanks out before I can read them) . I can log in as the non root user but that's it.

Any hints welcome.

I dont know (never tried as i have dsl and a wifi router) TSS has this on the ydl site http://www.yellowdoglinux.com/support/solutions/ydl_4.0/dialup.shtml The only thing i can recommend is give it a try
