Beige G3, ATI Rage128

Postby bryanb » 03 Jan 2006, 23:15

I have a beige G3, with a G4 ZIF init, from a Yikes! G4 350, running at 366 mhz, and 320 MB RAM. It also has the built in Rage Pro video, with 6 MB.

I want to use a Rage 128 16 MB card from a Blue G3, but YDL doesn't seem to like it at all. I get some initial text when switching to the Linux installer, but from then on, it switches to the built in video.

This is despite using the card for the Mac OS 9 install that is also currently on the machine, and useing the 'Force Video settings" in BootX.

I am using YDL 3.01, but have 4.01 on its way.

Any one have thoughts on this?
