YDL 4.1 on PPC 7300 with G3 400mhz Sonnet Card

I have been unable to reach the boot loader using the 4xx kernel for Old World Macs as recomended by the FAQ.

I need to use YDL 4.1 so that I can use my Atheros network card... (so if there is anyway to use that on my MAC without going through Orange Ware then I would like to hear that)
