Banana's a router. Satan was one for a while, but I cycled it out due to some flakiness with the NICs.

Oh, bugger. This BB doesn't hold state very well. Obviously that 'Guest' was me.

PowerCenter Pro 240
64 MB RAM
2 MB ATI (stock) video card
everything is stock except for the additional 9 GB ultra wide SCSI drive

This box needs more RAM and a better video card.

in use since 1996

Postby wotdafuk » 04 Sep 2004, 21:02

PM 7600
CPU G3 500
RAM 448 Mb
9GB SCSI HD on built in SCSI
PCI USB/Firewire card (Ratoc PC1FU1P)
PCI UW SCSI card (ADPT 2940)
9GB UW SCSI HD

New to PPC Linux and only just installed YDL 3.01, having trouble with sound and had to use the internal SCSI drive as it wouldn't mount the fs on the UW drive. :(

Thinking about sticking in a PCI sound card?

What Old World hardware?

Postby Guest » 11 Oct 2004, 08:54

I have YDL 2.3 on my 8500/120.
Lately upgraded to a "vast" 48 MB RAM... :-D

And now even Fedora Core 2 with Firefox compiled on a
PII "super" computer!
(As you may know YDL 4 is based on Fedora Core Linux, the new replacement
for userbase Red Hat).

I have A very rare MAC
it's a PowerPC G3 (Pre USB & "Special" Sound Card by Dimond")

233 mhz
192mb ram
4GB ATA HD
?20x ATA cdrom.
onboard ATI Rage 64
Mac Color 16in monitor.

but the sound card is all Fubared, so is the monitor. The os keeps puting the desktop off the visible screen and i have fubared controls over the monitor.

other than that it runs fine.
