Pendrive problem

Hi,
I am purchased new pendrive when i insert in my cpu (usb port) it can't show .
I am using XP software .
Kindly help to to sort this problem.

Hi:

I'm not sure why you are having problems with XP, remember that OS is about to be mothballed by Microsoft anyway. They are encouraging people to move onto Windows 7. Regarding your question however, did you check with the manufacturer of that device whether that drive is accessible from within Linux? Following the manufacturer's instructions you may be able to modify the drive so that it can be seen from within Linux and Windows, if you do that then YDL also should be able to see it. I'm sure that accessing your drive from YDL was not your priority, but at least you could access your pendrive via this other method if you cared to try it. Here's a link discussing that option:

It may be easier however to get Sandisk Cruzer USB drives http://sandisk.com/products/productdisplay.aspx?catid=1004 which already can be read from within Windows and Linux, as well as YDL.
