I just want to keep a log of what I do on my YDL 6.1. I hope this sort of thing is not frowned upon.

-Finally had the time to upgrade to 6.1
-Installation was incredibly smooth and much faster than I thought. The whole process took less then 30 minutes.
-First boot as user, I had enlightment drawer/taskbar crash on me. I reported in PS3 section.
-Set up wireless, which was already right there, did not have to fiddle with anything like we did in 5.0.1.
-Just downloaded billb's Repo RPM, and confirmed that those were same as what he instructed, if we did manually.
-Will install vlc..
-Installed VLC through yum
-Package manager said I have 23 updates available, this is cool.
-Updated gstreamer through package manager
-The other 22 are still pending since I don't have time.
-Switched to GNOME
-In GNOME it says I have no compatible sound card, yet I still have sound on some videos
-Wireless Connection Manager states I am not connected to anything, yet I am connected to internet when I tried Firefox. (Did not even type WEP key)

-Received the wireless mouse and keyboard combo. IOGEAR Long Range Combo $60 shipped
-Went home and set it up, it works great. I just hope it has auto off feature (who reads the manual) that turns off the keyboard (mouse is rechargeable).
-Need to set up flash/youtube/justin tv. I just tried justin TV on GameOS browser, it just doesn't work well, it starts skipping frames after about 3-5 minutes, possibly due to cache limitation on GameOS? Who knows... but the picture is perfect otherwise.

-I noticed Divx/xviD movies quality is very low, as if they were actually lower resolution, I need to find a solution for this (missing plugin?)
-I tried to run yum install gstreamer-plugins-bad but it did not work for some reason, it gave me following error: (Now Installed!)
-Above error issue was caused by loss of internet connection, for some reason I am losing the wireless link, and I have to deactive and re-active the adapter for it to reconnect..
-yum install gstreamer-plugins-ugly installed.
-I learned that external devices are listed under /media directory. I was looking all over for this in order to add videos to VLC playlist
-VLC crashes when I add 500 videos to the playlist. I wonder if there is any other way to play videos continuously without adding them all to the playlist.
