slightly off topic, looking at your printout of top you're not using a ps3 then, or are you ? 1031516k of memory, more than 4 times what I'm runningso what's your secret ?
- Code: Select all
Mem: 229624k total, 223412k used, 6212k free, 296k buffers
Swap: 778096k total, 17008k used, 761088k free, 51848k cached
I'm running YDL 6.2 on a 1.67GHz Powerbook G4! The CPU is a RISC CPU with an Altivec; the PS3 has 2 of those. Here's how to get YDL to spill the beans:
- Code: Select all
[aguila@arakus ~]$ cat /proc/cpuinfo|more
processor : 0
cpu : 7447A, altivec supported
clock : 1666.666000MHz
revision : 0.2 (pvr 8003 0102)

total bogomips : 36.73

There has been a bit of discussion that despite the hardware differences because we are within the same family of processors the code written within YDL will run on your PS3, my G4 and other PowerPC computers which run YDL. You can find one such discussion here:
