Wow - a real YDL disc? They haven't sold those in quite a long time. How long have you been waiting to do this install?
Anyway - one other thing to check. According to the instructions:
http://www.ydl.net/support/installation ... _guide.pdf3.At the white text on a black background boot prompt, press TAB for a full selection of install options, a few of which are detailed as follows:
●G4 -- Enter install_ppc32 or install_ppc32_text and press ENTER
●G5 -- Enter install_ppc64 or install_ppc64_text and press ENTER
●Text Installer -- Use the text options to use a nongraphical installer which uses the TAB, ARROW, and RETURN keys instead of a mouse. This is used with systems whose graphics cards or monitors are not readily supported or systems with less than 200MB RAM.
I can't quite tell - but the ppc64 suffix in the package above bothers me. Make sure you've selected install_ppc32 or install_ppc32_text for your G4.
Other than that, if you bought a disc from Fixstars, make sure it isn't damaged in any way. If it is damaged, you may want to download an ISO from a public mirror and burn your own.
The list of mirrors is here:
