Server fail when / where? in KDE? it use 'ALSA' and it aint pretty, yet, on Macs... KDE Sound System is fucked-up in here, too, but that really is just the system's bell that come with notifications and error messages. *BEEP* are like *SHHHH* Thats it. I compiled XMMS from source off xmms.org and mp3 play, CDs play and steams too. All seam to be a ALSA only issue.

grab it from here:
http://www.thecodefactory.org/mozilla/f ... 1.0.tar.gz

open a terminal,
become root by typing 'su'
enter your root password
install the rpm package by typing 'rpm -Uh /whereever/you/downloaded/firefox-powerpc-unknown-linux-gnu-gtk+xft-1.0.tar.gz'
done

I also have this problem which I find really quite strange. Sound is perfect in the installer but then the driver fails or something and it all goes pear-shaped...
