MOL may act very 'jumpy' if YDL is set to a graphical login (as set during installation). To correct this, you will need to set your YDL installation to default to a command line login:
[CTRL-OPTION-F1 ... then login as root]
pico /etc/inittab [ENTER]
You will see "id:5:initdefault:" a dozen or so lines down from to the top. Change the number 5 to the number 3. CONTROL-X which saves and exits the text editor 'pico' (review the SAVE and EXIT commands at the bottom of the screen).
Restart your computer:
shutdown -r now [ENTER]
And when it comes back up, login as root and:
[CTRL-OPTION-F2 ... then login as your user account]Once X is up and running:
startx [ENTER]
startmol [ENTER]
Now, the Linux graphical environment ('X') is running on virtual terminal 7 and MOL is running on virtual terminal 8. You can switch between the two at any time by using the CTRL-OPTION-F7 or CTRL-OPTION-F8 or even back to CTRL-OPTION-F3 through F6 for additional commandline access points.
You may learn more about setting YDL to default to a command line or graphical login.
